Violation of LCRMS

Statement

Canada Post Corporation (CPC) is in violation of the collective agreement and of the Letter Carrier Route Measurement System (LCRMS) as a result of its refusal to include in the letter carriers’ workload actual tasks performed in loading and unloading vehicles effective as of the date of implementation of the new routes.

The Corporation refuses to pay retroactively from the date of implementation the letter carriers who performed these tasks.

Corrective Steps Requested

  1. The Union is asking for a statement to the effect that the Corporation is in violation of the collective agreement and the LCRMS.

  2. The Union is asking for a statement to the effect that the loading and unloading tasks evaluated after the implementation of a route under chapter 7 of the LCRMS must be included in the new routes from the date of implementation.

  3. The Union is asking the Corporation be ordered to compensate the employees who performed this work.

  4. The Union is asking for itself and its members that the employer be ordered to pay exemplary and punitive damages. 

  5. Any amount claimed must include interest.

  6. The Union reserves the right to request any other appropriate corrective action.
