CUPW Condemns Islamophobic Attack in London

CUPW members across the country are deeply saddened by the attack June 7 in London, ON. There is no place for Islamophobia or any hateful ideologies in the society we are fighting to build.

Our thoughts today are with surviving relatives, neighbours, and dear ones of the deceased, and with Muslims throughout our society. We wish a speedy recovery to the surviving family member, and we hope that the family and the community can find ways to come together for support, comfort, and healing. CUPW members, Muslim and otherwise, are with you and we see that more needs to be done to ensure your safety. We will stay in the fight to end hate and create a safer, more equitable society.
