NLFL Strike Appeal & Solidarity Rally - CUPE Local 2099

The Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour is hosting a Solidarity Rally for the striking members of CUPE, Local 2099 who are entering their fifth week of a strike at the City of Mount Pearl.

They are fighting an employer who wants to introduce a two-tier system for future employees - workers whose job will be to provide essential and necessary services to the residents of Mount Pearl, just like the current members have been doing. 

If we have learned anything from the pandemic, is that all workers deserve decent fair and safe work, so they can continue to keep us safe and alive, especially in a crisis.

Please join us from 12-1 pm on Thursday, August 10, to show our collective support and solidarity to these courageous workers on the line.
